RIDE ON LOGO 2023

Winter Commuter Rewards Program: Making an Impact

The Winter Commuter Rewards program ran from December 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, continuing our mission to encourage sustainable commuting choices. Participants were invited to walk, bike, ride the bus, carpool, use park and ride lots, or vanpool instead of driving alone. The program was open to all Park City and Summit County employees, residents, and visitors.

Thanks to your participation, the 2023–2024 Winter Commuter Rewards program achieved record-breaking results:

  • 24,000 sustainable trips logged (1,000 more than the previous winter)

  • 332,432.5 miles traveled using alternative transportation

  • 83.8 tons of CO₂ emissions reduced

  • $95,000 saved collectively by users

What is Ride On Park City?

Ride On Park City is a free online platform designed to support sustainable commuting in the Park City area. It connects you with neighbors, coworkers, and fellow commuters who share similar travel routes—whether you walk, bike, carpool, or ride transit. Ride On also empowers local employers and organizations to promote sustainable travel through incentives, challenges, and rewards.

What Constitutes a "Trip"?

A "trip" refers to a one-way journey to or from work using sustainable transportation methods such as biking, walking, carpooling, or public transit. For instance, if you drive to a park and ride lot and take the bus to work, it counts as one "Park & Ride" trip. If you return to the park and ride lot via bus and drive home, that's considered an additional trip.

How do I get started?

  1. Create an account at RideOnParkCity.org.

  2.  Join your organization's network and/or the "Ride On Park City" network.

  3. Explore ongoing incentive programs listed under "Rewards" on your dashboard.

  4. Start logging your trips! It's that simple to unlock rewards!
