BOARD OF APPEALS

The Board of Appeals consists of three members and one alternate appointed by the City Council to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction. Members are qualified by experience and are not required to be residents of Park City. The Chief Building Official acts as the Board’s secretary.  

The function of the Board is to hear appeals of Building Official determinations, filed according to the International Building Code, Chapter Five of the Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings and Chapter Twelve of the Uniform Housing Code. The Board also hears appeals of determinations of the Floodplain Administrator.

The Board generally meets annually, on the third Thursday in March, and thereafter as needed on the third Thursday of the month. 

 The Board of Appeals is currently accepting applications. The recruitment will close on May 3, 2024 or remain open until filled.
