Please note that while our offices remain open, we are trying to reduce the number of face to face interactions to keep our community and staff safe. Due to COVID-19 impacts, Park City Parking Services is planning to extend permit expiry dates across all permit types in efforts to reduce face to face interactions, simplify permit requirements, maintain value to purchased permits, and use the extension window to refine current permit structure and renewal dates.

***ALL PERMITS LISTED BELOW (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF RESIDENTIAL BUSINESS AND DLS PERMITS) THAT ARE APPROACHING EXPIRATION HAVE BEEN EXTENDED AND WILL BE HONORED IN THEIR APPROPRIATED AREAS UNTIL JUNE 30, 2021.***

RENEWAL REMINDERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO PERMIT HOLDERS VIA MAIL, EMAIL, WINDSHIELD NOTICE OR DOORSTEP FLYER 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE.

REGULAR PERMIT RULES AND ENFORCEMENT WILL CONTINUE TO APPLY TO PERMITS UNDER THIS EXTENSION.

Blue Square Permit

2019/2020 permits extended to June 30, 2021

Simply display your currently assigned permit when you park in the China Bridge garage or Gateway garage. If you need adjustments to this permit, please contact Parking Services at parking_permits@parkcity.org or call 435-615-5301

The Blue Square Permit is available for purchase to businesses with a Main Street core area address. This permit allows for parking in the China Bridge parking structure and Gateway Garage upper level. Initially, one Blue Square Permit will be available for purchase per Main Street business. After the initial purchasing phase, there will be an opportunity to purchase additional permits for those interested. Please note that a valid business license is required to purchase a Blue Square Permit. This permit is transferable and allows for parking during all hours including weekends . This permit is not valid during major events. The cost of this permit is $400. If lost or stolen you may purchase a replacement for $200.

Please download the permit application and bring it into the Public Works building at 1053 Iron Horse Drive.

Residential Permits

2019/2020 permits extended to June 30, 2021

Display your currently assigned permit as you have been to park in public right of way streets. If you need adjustments to this permit, please contact Parking Services at parking_permits@parkcity.org or call 435-615-5301

Please download and submit the residential permit application. If you are not sure which residential permit zone you reside in you can find that on our residential zone map.

You require a Business Application for Residential Parking Permit if you are a business operating in a residential permit zone.

Carpool Permit

2019/2020 permits extended to June 30, 2021

Employee Carpool permits are available for employees of businesses in Old Town and allows free parking in the China Bridge Parking Garage located on Swede Alley. Applicants must register in person at the Public Works building (1053 Iron Horse Dr).

Applicants MUST be an employee of a business with a Main Street area address. Carpools must be established with 2 or more applicants, meaning that 2 or more employees must plan to carpool in order to utilize the permit. The Carpool permit allows parking at all hours, including after 6:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The permit is NOT valid during major events including the Sundance Film Festival and Kimball Arts Festival. Alternative parking locations may be provided. This permit is NOT transferable and re-assignable by business owner.

If fraudulent use is detected, carpool permit privilege will be revoked without exception. If a carpool permit is used by a single individual, all permits within the carpool will be deactivated without the ability to renew. Applicants must sign an agreement stating they will adhere to permit rules.

DLS (Drop, Load, Staging) Permit

The DLS program is set to resume November 20, 2020.  

 2019/2020 DLS permit holders will receive a one year only COVID-19 relief renewal discount of $100. If a DLS permit has been purchased in 2019/2020, you may renew your permit for $100. New applicants must pay the full $200 annual price  

The DLS Permit is available for purchase to transportation businesses intending to deliver customers to the Main St. commercial area. This permit allows for active loading and unloading access to DLS Zones - for further details, click here. Please note that a valid for hire/ground transportation business license is required to purchase a DLS Permit, or if you are a Transportation Network Company, please bring proof of your contract with your company in lieu of a business license. This permit is transferable and allows for access to DLS Zones after 5:00 p.m. 7 Days a week. Park City Municipal Corporation reserves the right to suspend the program during Special Events or unforeseen circumstances.

Old Town Employee Homestake Parking

Employees planning to park in the Homestake parking lot will be required to register their vehicles. In order to ensure this lot is preserved for employees, unregistered vehicles may be ticketed. Parking at the Homestake Lot will be restricted from 4:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m. for snow removal. Parking availability may be subject to change during special events.

TO REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Send an email with your name (first and last), your license plate number, phone number and your employer to parking_permits@parkcity.org.

2. You must include the name of your Main Street area employer.

3. Once we have registered your vehicle(s) you will receive a reply email confirming your registered vehicle(s).

Special Use Permit

A permit to occupy public parking spaces may be issued for certain uses such as construction, moving, long-term loading/unloading after delivery hours. The application fee is $20 plus a fee per occupied space (22-feet). Click here to download the permit. Once you've filled out the application please bring it into the Public Works building for approval. We are located at 1053 Iron Horse Drive. For more information, please call 435-615-5301.

Upon conditional approval, the fee to occupy one space in each of the following areas is:

  • Main Street Pay-and-Display $16/day
  • Swede Alley Time-Limited $12/day
  • Special Event - Approved Use $50/day
  • Marsac Lots Long Term $20/month
  • Residential Permit Zones $20/month
