The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

Traffic Impact Study Guidelines

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS (RSOQ)

 PCMC is inviting Statements of Qualification (“SOQs”) from qualified persons or firms (“Respondent”) to provide engineering design services for the installation of five battery electric bus depot chargers and the upgrade of an electrical transformer and current transformer (“CT”) cabinet.

RSOQ AVAILABLE: The RSOQ will be available on April 21, 2025, on the Utah Public Procurement Place (“U3P”) website. Any modifications to the RSOQ or responses to questions submitted will be added as an addendum to the RSOQ posted on U3P. It is the responsibility of Respondents to regularly check for addenda.

QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RSOQ must be submitted in writing to the Utah Public Procurement Place (“U3P”) website by 1:00 p.m. MT on May 7, 2025. Please read the Questions Section available through U3P before submitting a question because your question may have already been addressed. Please do not submit the same question multiple times.

PROJECT LOCATION: 1053 Iron Horse Drive, Park City, Utah 84060

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Successful Respondent will provide engineering design services for the installation of five battery electric bus depot chargers and the upgrade of an electrical transformer and current transformer (“CT”) cabinet. PCMC intends to contract a single firm to provide the services.

PROJECT DEADLINE: Contract start is anticipated by June 13. Design finalization is expected by August 30, 2025. Phase One Construction for the charger installation is anticipated for Spring 2026. Phase Two Construction for the transformer and CT cabinet upgrade is anticipated for Fall 2026, dependent on the delivery of the CT cabinet to Park City.

CONTRACT TERM: The term of the agreement shall be for two years, with the option to renew thereafter for up to two additional terms of one year dependent on construction completion.
