Empire Avenue Residents & Property Owners:
Below is a construction update & two week look ahead schedule:
Construction Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Week of September 3rd
• Crews will continue work on water lines on the south end of Empire Avenue.
• Crews will continue sewer line installation.
• This includes a temporary water bypass system. Some driveways will be crossed with temporary piping on top of the existing driveway. The contractor will cover these pipes to maintain driveway access during the water bypass. The temporary piping and cover should not damage the existing driveway.
Week of September 10th
• Crews will continue work on storm drain installation.
• Crews will continue water line installation.
NOTE: Construction work will be heavy between Manor Way and 10th Street. Residents getting in or out of the area should expect 15-20 minute delays between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Residents may want to park out of the congested area.
Special Considerations
• Due to the depth and alignment of the utilities to be installed, rolling road-closures will be required for efficiency and speed of the project as well as to provide safety for those in the area.
• Schedule is subject to change due to weather or equipment conditions
