FIREWORKS AND OPEN FIRE RESTRICTIONS:
Fire danger risks are extremely high in Park City and throughout the state. Low moisture, warm temperatures, high winds and dry vegetation have significantly increased the threat of wildfires. Fireworks, explosive devices and open fires are a direct threat to the safety of our entire community. Park City Municipal Corporation, Summit County and the Park City Fire District have enacted emergency ordinances prohibiting the discharge of fireworks and all open fires to reduce the risk of wildfire for the 2012 fire season. Violations of this ordinance are a class B misdemeanor and may result in fines and arrest. Let’s do all we can to make it a safe, fire-free summer!
