The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY GUIDELINES

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (NON-BID): Bus Stop Improvements – Shelter Design, Fabrication, and Delivery

PCMC is inviting proposals from qualified persons or firms (Respondent) to perform final design, fabrication, and delivery of bus shelters.   

PROPOSALS DUE: By Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Submit proposals electronically via Utah Public Procurement Place (“U3P”). The proposals will be opened after the submission deadline.

In the event of difficulty submitting proposals electronically, proposals can be dropped off at the office of the City Recorder, located at 445 Marsac Avenue, Third Floor – Executive Department, Park City, UT 84060. Proposals submitted to the City Recorder must be delivered on a zip drive. No paper copies may be submitted.

RFP AVAILABLE:  The RFP will be available on November 28, 2023, on the U3P and PCMC websites. Any modifications to the RFP or responses to questions submitted will be added as an addendum to the RFP posted on U3P and PCMC Website.  It is the responsibility of Respondents to regularly check for addenda.

QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing on the U3P website by Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.  Please do not submit the same question multiple times.  

PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, via Zoom. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all Respondents. Requests for reasonable accommodation at the pre-proposal meeting shall be made no later than 48 hours in advance to the Project Contact below. Accommodation may include alternative formats, interpreters, and other auxiliary aids.

PROJECT LOCATION: Park City, Utah

PROJECT DESCRIPTION (brief): PCMC will improve approximately 75 bus stops over the next 3 years to include the installation of approximately 60 bus shelters.  This solicitation is for the final design, fabrication, and delivery of these shelters.  Shelters will be installed by the site civil contractors.
