The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY GUIDELINES

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

Deer Valley Signage and Striping

Sealed bids for the construction of the Deer Valley Drive Striping and Signage project will be received by Corey Legge, Project Manager, Park City Municipal Corporation at the Office of Engineering, 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah 84060, by 3:00 p.m. local time Wednesday, February 3, 2021, and then at 3:05 PM that same day and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. 

 

The work consists of the following items within the project area of Deer Valley Drive between Bonanza Drive and the roundabout at Marsac Avenue: 1) Removal of existing pavement markings; 2) Asphalt Seal Coat; 3) Installation of new pavement markings; and 4) Installation of new traffic signage. The Bidding Documents will be available: January 11, 2021, and may be obtained from the issuing office via email to corey.legge@parkcity.org.

Bid security shall be furnished by a certified or cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to PARK CITY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price. Park City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any minor irregularities in any proposal.
