Mayor Jack Thomas is President of Jack Thomas Associates, PC Architects. Jack grew up in the construction business and has been in business for over twenty-five years.  For over two decades, his work has included residential design, historical restoration, commercial design, planning and interior design.  Prior to serving as Park City’s Mayor, Jack was a member of the Park City Planning Commission, the State Director of the Utah chapter of the American Institute of Architecture, and a Board member of the Green House Foundation, a non-profit planning architectural assistance group for Park City and Summit County. Jack and his wife, Margarethe, are the proud parents of five children and enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and skiing.  Jack holds a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in City Planning from the University of Utah.

The Mayor is the chief executive of the City, officially represents the City on public and ceremonial occasions, executes and authenticates legal instruments/documents of the City, and exercises all other duties and such powers as are conferred upon him by ordinance. The Mayor presides at the City Council meetings and only votes in the event of a tie.
