Woodside Park Phase II Affordable Housing & Senior Center Development Request for Proposals Published

Park City Municipal Corp. has published a request for proposals for the development of affordable housing and a senior center at 1361 Woodside Avenue. The closing date for the request for proposals is March 29, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. The RFP is available on the City’s website at this link.

The Woodside Park Phase II site is approximately 1.53 acres and is located at 1361 Woodside Avenue in Old Town, near the Park City Mountain Resort base area and the City Library. The property is currently home to the Park City Senior Center. The City seeks to deliver a successful and financially viable residential development on the site that maximizes the number of affordable units while incorporating a new senior center in addition to senior housing. The staff representative for this project is Jason Glidden, jglidden@parkcity.org.

In October 2022, the City Council and Park City’s seniors reached an agreement to build a new senior center with an affordable housing component in the Woodside Park neighborhood. The agreement outlines how the City and Senior Center will collaborate to design a new building concept that introduces mixed-income senior center development and create new affordable and new senior housing opportunities.

In the memorandum of understanding, the two sides agreed upon the following:

  • A new senior center space on the site located at 1361 Woodside or on one of the adjacent City-owned parcels,
  • Collaboration on the design of the building between the developer and Park City seniors,
  • A mutual effort to negotiate a new space lease, with the lease term being a minimum of time remaining from the 99-year lease from July 16, 1976,
  • To work together to secure a temporary Senior Center location acceptable to both parties during the construction of the new facility.

While an agreement has been reached to build a new senior center, no timeline or start date has been established.
