While a Do It Yourself Home Energy Audit is relatively simple, you may consider hiring a professional to come to your home and audit your home for you. The auditor is an experienced professional who knows exactly what to look for and at the end can provide you with a detailed report of your home's current level of energy efficiency. The auditor can also provide you with a list of projects or items that need to be updated, and the auditor may also help you prioritize to get the most bang for your buck.
Dominion Energy has a team of Energy Experts that will come to your home and perform an energy audit and identify ways you can save. The cost is $25, which will be refunded if you decide to participate in any of their ThermWise Rebate Programs.
A list of certified Home Energy Raters is available on the Utah Energy Conservation Coallition website.
