The Engineering Department coordinates, reviews, and approves all private-funded public improvements initiated by the development community, from design through construction to completion. The Engineering Team works closely with the Planning and Building Teams to accomplish this task.

In addition, the Engineering Team reviews and manages many of the City's capital improvement projects. The Department's Public Improvements Inspector inspects all water line installation and work that occurs within the public right-of-way.

 

Park City Supplemental Standards and Specifications

The City has adopted the American Public Works Association (APWA) Standard Specifications and Plans as the standards for all construction and improvements in the public right-of-way. The Engineering Team additionally maintains and updat the City Supplemental Standards and Specifications to be used in conjunction with the APWA standards.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY GUIDELINES

The Traffic Impact Study Guidelines provide a framework for when a transportation impact study may be required for new land use developments or redevelopments in Park City. The required contents of the transportation impact study are also provided in these guidelines.

Park Avenue Roadway and Utility Improvements

Proposals for the design of the Park Avenue Roadway and Utility Improvements between SR 224 and Heber Avenue will be received by John Robertson, Project Manager, Park City Municipal Corporation at the Office of Engineering, 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah 84060, by 4:00 p.m. local time Friday, January 8, 2021

The work consists of, but not limited to, the following items within the project area of Park Avenue. 1) Collect survey data, right-of-way, and existing utility (wet/dry) information 2) Design Roadway Structural Section 3) Evaluate Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) Envision Rating System 3) Perform public outreach for input on final design 4) Design roadway improvements applying roadway diet principles to improve pedestrian & bicycle services within the corridor 5) Prepare construction and bid documents. The RFP will be available: December 14, 2020 and may be obtained from the issuing office via email to john.robertson@parkcity.org.

 

Park City Municipal Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all proposals for any reason and to waive any minor irregularities in any proposal.
