REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

for

PARK CITY MINE TUNNEL ENGINEERING

AND

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES

 

PROJECT NAME:  Tunnel Engineering and Program Management Services for the Park City Mine Tunnel Reconstruction

PROPOSALS DUE BY:  4:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday, March 21, 2019, at the Park City Public Works Offices, 1053 Iron Horse Drive, Park City, UT 84060, Attention: Griffin Lloyd, Public Utilities Engineer. Proposals will not be accepted after this time.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  Park City Municipal Corporation (“Park City”), located in Summit County, Utah, is soliciting written Statements of Qualifications (“SOQ”) from qualified firms (“Proposers”) for the purpose of providing professional engineering services specific to tunnel reconstruction support systems and program management services. Recent studies conducted by the City have found several areas that are in need of reconstruction for safe passage, maintenance and water collection.  Mine Tunnel Engineering services will include working with Park City staff, the City’s tunnel contractor, and referencing previously conducted studies, surveys, and reports to plan, design, and implement tunnel reconstruction, ventilation improvements, and long term maintenance and improvements.

Reponses to the RFQ shall be submitted by firms that have a capable and demonstrable background in the type of work described in this RFQ.  In addition, all interested firms or teams shall have sufficient, readily available resources in the form of trained personnel, support services, specialized subconsultants, and financial resources to carry out the work without delay or shortcomings. The selected Engineering firm will work with the City and the project’s contractor, engineers, and consultants (AE Team) throughout the duration of the Project to meet the City’s overall needs, goals, and objectives for the Project.
