Face Coverings Required
Governor Herbert approved a request by the Summit County Health Department to execute a mandatory mask health order requiring face coverings inside all public facilities. The drafted order is expected to be signed by the County Council on Friday, and is anticipated to go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Monday, June 29th.
Beginning Monday, face coverings will be required upon entering the PC MARC, for the entirety of your visit, and must cover your face and nostrils. The drafted order includes exemptions for which masks are not required, including children under two years old. Staff understand the challenges of wearing face coverings while exercising; however the County and State are not exempting masks during indoor recreation activities. This requirement includes patrons exercising in all areas of the facility, including the indoor tennis courts and those just walking through the facility on their way to outdoor pools and courts.
Please keep in mind that the drafted order does not change or reduce any of the current guidelines or protocols. In accordance with the Phased Guidelines 4.6, please continue to keep six feet from patrons outside of your household, where feasible, even while wearing a face covering.
Please contact the front desk if you wish to cancel any currently scheduled activities. Refunds will be issued for cancellations due to the anticipated health order. Patrons who are removed from an activity for not complying with the health order will not receive a refund.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
