Park City Council Meeting Summary February 6, 2020

SUMMARY of FEBRUARY 6 PARK CITY COUNCIL MEETING

At the February 6 meeting, Park City Council:

  • Received an update from the Park City Library Director and Park City Library Board, which featured highlights from the FY19 Annual Report, including:
    • 183,466 people visited the library
    • 119,223 items were checked out
    • 14,707 public computer sessions
    • 43,823 Wi-Fi sessions were used
    • 1,906 meeting room rentals
    • 6,287 study room utilizations

The Park City Library also launched a “Fine Free” initiative this year, in coordination with the Summit County Library, and with the support of the Park City Library Board and City Council. Fine Free the Library has had a great response, and patrons expressed appreciation and are using the Library more, particularly families with children.
Annual Update

 

  • Reviewed a Bus Stop Inventory and Accessibility Study. With the growth in service area population and annual ridership (2.6 million riders in 2019), staff has prioritized several service improvements.

  • Approved the Consent Agenda including:
    • A Professional Services Contract with Future IQ for $25,000 for additional Visioning Services as Part of the Park City Vision 2020 Project.

    • The disposition of City property located at 1333 Park Avenue, 1343 Park Avenue, 1353 Park Avenue, 1350 Woodside Avenue, and 1835 Three Kings Drive, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into sales contracts with qualified buyers.

  • Approved the following New Business items:
    • Continuation of an ordinance approving the 182 & 184 Daly Avenue plat amendment, located at 182 and 184 Daly Avenue, Park City, Utah.

    • Consideration of Ordinance 2020-12, repealing Land Management Code § 15-3-5, Driveway Standards for Private Driveways within Platted, Unbuilt City Streets.

    • Continuation of an ordinance approving an extension of City Council's January 2019 approval of Ordinance No. 2019-03, approving the 510 Ontario Avenue plat amendment, located at 510 Ontario Avenue, Park City, Utah, and Ordinance No. 2019-04, amending Ordinance No. 15-12, approving the Roundabout Condominiums first amendment, located at 300 Deer Valley Drive, Park City, Utah.

  • Received an update on the 2020 Legislative Session from City Manager Matt Dias.

 

The Park City Redevelopment Agency approved:

  • The disposition of City property located at 1333 Park Avenue, 1343 Park Avenue, 1353 Park Avenue, 1350 Woodside Avenue, and 1835 Three Kings Drive, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into sales contracts with qualified buyers.
