Anyone engaging in business in Park City, including the sale or offering of any goods merchandise, or performing any service for monetary exchange or valuable consideration must be licensed.
Park City Municipal Corporation requires all businesses within city limits to be licensed.
State licensed contractors only need to be licensed in the City where they have an office- this includes home-based offices. Insurance Companies, nonprofit organizations, and state-owned businesses are exempt from paying fees, but are required to hold a license.
Where do I get a Business License?
Download an application and Instructions or obtain an application at the Park City Municipal Corporation in the Finance Department. The address is 445 Marsac. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. For more information call (435) 615-5225.
General Business License
The following is required of all new applicants.
If conducting business under an assumed name (D.B.A. "doing business as"), register the business name with the Utah Department of Commerce. (See State Requirements section)
** It is our recommendation that you verify with the Planning Department that your requested business location meets the required Zoning Ordinances prior to applying.
Prior to application submission an inspection is required on all new businesses with a physical address in the City Limits, including Convention Sales Licenses. Please contact Sherry Snyder in the Building Department at (435) 615-5104 to schedule your appointment.
