Tim was born in New York City and spent his youth in numerous communities in New Jersey and New York where he developed a deep love of nature and it's recreational opportunities. He graduated from Northwestern Univrsity in 1980 with a degree in Economics, worked on Wall Street for 12 years, moved to Park City in 1992 where he has been engaged in real estate investment and management. He also works on Deer Valley's race hill and is co-host of The Mountain Life community affairs program on KPCW. Tim has two children, Thea (26) who lives in Brattleboro, Vermont and attends the New England Center of Circus Arts and Scott (24) who lives in Brooklyn, New York and works as an intern with a Manhattan Law firm while applying to law school. Both grew up in Park City.
Since arriving in Park City, Tim has advocated for trails, open space, education and a more walkable community. Tim served for ten years as a member of the original Mountain Trails Foundation Board working to establish and energize the community's trail initiative; served on Citizens Open Space Advisory Committee (COSAC) II and as Vice Chair on COSAC IV; five years on Summit Land Conservancy's Board, as well as five years on the Board of The Colby School. In his, until recently ample and now much dimiished, free time, Tim enjoys and can often be found hiking, running and biking on our local trails, road biking, alpine and cross country skiing, and competing in many of our local athletic events.
