WATER SERVICE

START, STOP OR CHANGE SERVICE

All persons desiring water service are required to sign a Water Service Agreement. A connection fee will be assessed for new service if the previous service has already been disconnected. This charge is due with the service agreement.

  • Who do I call if I think I have a leak? Phone # (435) 615-5305
  • Are there any city ordinances I should be aware of?

DISCONNECTED SERVICE

Service may be disconnected with notice for non-payment of a bill, failure to repair leaks, or failure to comply with a requested curtailment during a water emergency. In addition to any other fees, monies owed, deposits or fines, a reconnection fee is required before service will be re-instated.

REQUESTS FOR TERMINATION OF WATER SERVICE

Please notify the water department of the desired termination date and provide a forwarding address for final billing at water@parkcity.org or by calling (435) 615-5305 or mailing information to:

Park City Water Department
P.O. Box 1480
Park City, Utah 84060-1480.

Please provide at least 3-business days for termination of water services.

SETTING UP RENTER/TENANT WATER SERVICE

A property owner that rents his or her home may request that the tenant open their own account. To do this the property owner must complete a Property Owner Authorization to Bill other Party Form  and the tenant must complete a Water Service Agreement following the City Identity Theft Prevention Policy. A tenants water service will only be valid if both forms are accurately completed and returned to the Park City Water Department. The Owner will remain responsible for water fees if the tenant account becomes delinquent.

LEAK ADJUSTMENT POLICY AND REQUEST FORM

Consideration for leak adjustments is based upon excess usage resulting from a leak that cannot easily be detected. Excess usage is defined as consumption that exceeds the customer's historical consumption by 50% or greater. The historical average consumption is determined based upon previous usage for a similar time period.
