The Fraternal Order of Police
The Fraternal Order of Police (F. O. P.) was founded in 1915 and is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 308,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. They are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation.

The Park City Lodge #3 of the F. O. P. was founded in 1985 after Park City police officer Rodney W. Schreurs was killed while directing traffic following the 4th of July fireworks celebration in 1984. The Park City Lodge sponsors Shop with a Cop or other similar programs each year and, in addition, provides support for law enforcement officers in the Wasatch and Summit County Sheriff's offices, Kamas, Park City and Heber City Police departments. For more information, contact Sgt. Mark Schaerrer of the Park City Police Department at 435-615-5500.
