The Historic Preservation Board consists of five members who are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.  Members need not be residents of Park City.  Each member serves a term of three years and receives compensation of $60 per meeting.

The Historic Preservation Board meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month in City Council Chambers. Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m.

This is a board created pursuant to the Utah Code to preserve and encourage design preferences that reflect Park City's mining heritage according to the Land Management Code and the Historic District Design Guidelines.  Title 15, Chapter 11 of the Land Management Code contains detailed information regarding the Historic Preservation Board.  Link here to the Land Management Code.

Members of the Board should either: (1) live in the Historic District with demonstrated interest and knowledge of Historic Preservation; (2) be someone with a Main Street commercial business interest; (3) be a member recommended by or associated with the Park City Historical Society or Utah Heritage Foundation; or, (4) be someone appointed at large from Park City with demonstrated interest and knowledge of historic preservation.
