Streets & Snow Maintenance

The streets department is responsible for 94 road miles within a 10-square-mile area. The primary goal of the streets department is to "manage, maintain and preserve the City's infrastructure." This is achieved with asphalting, slurry sealing, street striping, snow removal, and street sweeping.

Additional areas of responsibility include: graffiti removal; flood prevention, including detention basin maintenance; stream channel maintenance; storm drains and catch basins; installation of stop signs and other traffic control signs; parking structure maintenance; installation and/or replacement of street lights; and special projects, i.e., building additional parking areas, and support to other City projects.

If you need assistance with a street or street light problem or further information please call 615-5300.
