Books Come Alive in the Sound Booth
PC local Corinne Humphrey has been a flight attendant with Delta for 36 years. Corinne rescued a dog named Rudy after he had been in shelters for three years! She authors a travel series for children called Roaming with Rudy, where Rudy provides information on his current adventure. The series has featured her travels to Paris, Washington D.C., and Rome. In this picture, Corinne is recording the audio to her most recent Roaming with Rudy book in the Park City Library's sound booth. Want to learn more about Corinne and her books? Visit her website:   http://corinnehumphrey.com/wordpress.

Do you have something you'd like to record? Come in and use the sound booth. We have everything you need from start to finish.

Multiple tiles can be purchased and grouped together. For more information or to download a mural wall form, visit: http://parkcitylibrary.org/mural-wall.
Voices of Park City
Ralph Gates came to Park City to retire in 1990 because he loves to ski, and at 91 years old, he still does. In 2015, Ralph was interviewed for the Voices of the Manhattan Project for his work on the atomic bomb. After his interview, Ralph began interviews in Park City for his own project, Voices of Park City, which creates "living biographies" through video recorded interviews. Ralph commonly asks, "How would you feel if you could see your grandparent live, talking about their life?" Instead of recording these voices in books, Ralph's conversational style finds what the interviewed person was like. Interviews Ralph has particularly enjoyed focusing on lives that happened during traumatic times, such as preparing one-self and family for nuclear destruction. An other focus of the project is to interview those who made Park City what it is today; those who moved here when we were a ghost town, stayed, developed businesses, and made their lives here.

Voices of Park City are being added to the Park City Library's Park City Room, a collection dedicated to Park City historic items. Learn more about Ralph and the Atomic Heritage Foundation here:  http://www.atomicheritage.org/article/mp-veteran-ralph-gates-participates-honor-flight. To be interviewed by Ralph for Voices of Park City, call Ralph at 435-645-8136.
